It’s been a while since Ryan Devries, Project Coordinator for MMI Industrial and Steel, worked his very first job, but during that time, he made a very important discovery about himself that he still carries with him today. It was at that very pivotal time in his life that he discovered a desire to be more than just “average”. He decided then and there that he wanted to be a hard worker, dependable and trusted to get the job done right. Essentially, he chose to become a man of integrity who continually strives to expand his knowledge and skill base.
MMI’s HARDWORKING core value aligns greatly with how Ryan sees himself and how he performs his daily tasks. As a Project Coordinator, Ryan’s responsibilities include ensuring jobs sent in by the Project Managers and Project Engineers are processed correctly and accurately before being sent to the shop. His goal is to make sure all jobs are prepared in a way that when they are released to the appropriate parties, there are as few issues as possible. What Ryan enjoys most about his job with MMI are the daily accomplishments. He loves troubleshooting and finding solutions and processes that work to achieve goals shared with his coworkers. At the end of the day, he likes looking back with a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Ryan believes his work ethic will take him far and he’s certain his commitment to MMI and his position will ultimately help pave the way to a long and fruitful career, so long as it is always accompanied by motivation. He’s grateful for all the doors that have been opened due to his HARDWORKING mentality. His one bit of advice is, “Never go halfway. Give all or don’t.”
