“All work is HONORABLE, and people who work, regardless of their position, are willing to do what is needed to make a living and feed their family in an HONORABLE way.” Night Production Supervisor Jason Choate is proud of the 18-man crew he oversees. He believes they demonstrate being HONORABLE every time they make the decision to go to work. For him, being HONORABLE and having integrity go hand in hand. Each are demonstrated by upholding one’s personal morals and values and doing the right thing, particularly when no one is watching. True honor and integrity go beyond the workplace and extend into one’s personal life. Often, we make mistakes, or things do not work out quite as expected. For Jason, that’s just life. It is how we learn and grow. Admitting mistakes is being HONORABLE because “…even when no one else may know, you do.”
Jason has been with MMI Industrial and Steel for nearly two years. He is proud of his team which comes together to find viable and effective solutions to challenges they encounter. He loves the problem-solving aspect. It is one of the things Jason enjoys most about his job. He also loves being able to assist in the various departments, as it exposes him to many different environments.
Jason sees MMI as a big company, but with a “close knit, personal vibe.” He believes the employees and their families truly matter. Being HONORABLE, demonstrating good character, growing, and advancing are easier when you work for a company that demonstrates the same.
