“Being HUNGRY doesn’t mean it’s lunchtime. . . ,” according to Danielle Medina, QA/QC Manager for MMI Industrial & Steel, “it means we want to improve MMI and our team as a whole.” Danielle sees HUNGRY represented in the MMI Core Values as seeking to learn and adapt to change. It is wanting information, training to expand skillsets and being flexible through changes brought on by growth and experience within the organization. She holds a strong belief that a thirst for knowledge and learning is at the core of being HUNGRY.
Her own quest for knowledge and learning brought Danielle to where she is today. She holds a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She utilizes her education and experience to better train individuals for their jobs, making it easier for them to do their work. Danielle encourages them to find their hunger and desire to learn and continually improve in their positions, in order to be more effective and therefore, more valuable an asset to the company. She enjoys helping others and the challenge of finding the best ways to focus work efforts.
Outside of work, Dannielle is an artist. She creates airbrush art and murals. She is expanding her creativity into industrial arts, building a small CNC, or Computer Numberical Control benchtop mill, which can be used for machining metals and small scale fabrication creations. Staying HUNGRY means Danielle is always evolving - professionally, personally and creatively. She exemplifies what the MMI Core Values of HAPPY, HUNGRY HARDWORKING AND HONORABLE stand for. We are honored to have her on our team.
